Tadoba, Pench, Melghat tiger reserves adjudged ‘very good’

NAGPUR: Amid poaching threats, efforts of wildlife wing officials have borne fruit, as Tadoba-Andhari, Pench and Melghat tiger reserves in Vidarbha have improved their grade from 'good' to 'very good' category. The announcement came with the results of the management effective evaluation (MEE) on Tuesday. MEE is done once in four years by the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) and Wildlife Institute of India (WII) to evaluate whether the chosen approaches in tiger reserve management are sound, adequate and appropriate.
